Obituary of Mildred Pafford

MARION, VIRGINIA: MILDRED VIRGINIA PAFFORD, age 74, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Virginia. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother who loved her grandchildren dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Terry and Stella Snavely; brother, Donald Snavely; and great-grandchild, Bobby J. Moore, Jr. Mildred is survived by her husband of 56 years, Sidney Sherrill Pafford of Marion, Virginia; four sons and daughters-in-law, Herman Leroy and Darlene Pafford of Marion, Virginia; Sidney Sherrill and Donna J. Pafford, Jr. of Atkins, Virginia, David Randolph and Joyce Pafford of Rural Retreat, Virginia and Charles Gwyn and Heidi P. Pafford of Kingsport, Tennessee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Marie and Richard Allen Dunford, Sandra Denise and Justin W. Harris, all of Marion, Virginia; one sister and brother-in-law, Frances and William Hester of Marion, Virginia; one brother, Roy Snavely of Wytheville, Virginia; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend J.T. Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Hutton Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
