Obituary of Barbara Davidson

MARION, VIRGINIA: BARBARA DAVIDSON, age 68, died Saturday December 29, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Barbara was one great woman. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed and remembered by her family for her faith, sincerity, smiles and laughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and June Hunt Goldberg; daughter, Sherry Lynn Burris; sister, Marylin Rhodes. She is survived by one son, John Michael Short and wife Sheila of Wytheville, Virginia; one sister, Debbie Lynn Goldberg of Marion, Virginia; one brother, Robert "Bobby Who" Goldberg of Marion, Virginia; four grandchildren, June Marie Burris, Melissa Lynn Burris, Jesse McKinney, and David Testerman; eight great-grandchildren, Conner Burris, Ethan Burris, R.J. Burris, Sarah Burris, Adam Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Cheyenne McKinney, and Alla McKinney. Special friends, Mike Sobey, Tyrone Cefalu, Father McGuire, Jean Burris, and Dr. Bob and Patty Ryan. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Father Paul Maier officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery in Marion, Virginia.
