Obituary of Rex Brooks

SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: REX A. BROOKS, age 60, died Monday, November 19, 2012 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen Thomas and Gladys Anderson Brooks; sister, Pearl Ellen Lane; two brothers, William Earl Brooks and Rufus Pete Brooks. Rex is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra Kay Brooks; daughter, Teresa Brooks both of Sugar Grove, Virginia; one sister, Virginia Della Keith and husband, Mike of Rural Retreat, Virginia; four brothers, Blaine Brooks and wife, Carolyn of Sugar Grove, Virginia, Garland Russell Brooks of Chilhowie, Virginia, Glen Jackson Brooks and wife, Joyce of Konnarock, Virginia and David Edward Brooks and wife, Ruby of Chilhowie, Virginia; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Blaine, Hurley and Angela for all their help. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Comers Creek Cemetery, Grayson County, Virginia with Reverend Clayton Hounshell officiating.
