Obituary of Nancy Mercer

ATKINS, VIRGINIA: NANCY L. MERCER, age 75, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Virginia. She was of the Christian faith and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Everett Mercer of Atkins, Virginia; two daughters, Vickie Dixon of Atkins, Virginia and Becky Blevins and husband, Gale of Rural Retreat, Virginia; one son, Dale Mercer and wife, Melissa of Rural Retreat, Virginia; one sister, Margie Bennington of Blue Springs, Virginia; three grandchildren, Tonya Pickering, Cindy Andies, and Joshua Blevins; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, Marion, Virginia with Reverend Neville Mozingo and Reverend Eddie Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel or anytime at the home of her daughter, Vickie Dixon.
