Obituary of Mae Davidson

MARION, VIRGINIA: MAE EVONNE DAVIDSON, age 71, died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tennessee. Mae was a member of Grace United Methodist and loved volunteering for church activities and as a "Pink Lady" for Smyth County Community Hospital. She was retired from Walmart with over 18 years of service. Mae was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Davidson; mother, Gertie Mae Southern; father, Woodrow Wilson Taylor; and brother, Lester Taylor. Mae is survived by her daughter, Barbara Cowen; grandson, Marcus South; great-grandson, Damien South; two brothers, Lawrence Taylor and Dean Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Southwest Virginia. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Emmitt Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow at Mount Rose Cemetery, Glade Spring, Virginia. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
