Obituary of Betty Simms

MARION, VIRGINIA: BETTY GOODMAN SIMMS, age 77, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Michael Simms. Betty is survived by her husband, Jack Simms of Marion, Virginia; three sons, James "Jay" Simms, John Simms, both of Marion, Virginia and Joe Simms and wife, April of Rural Retreat, Virginia; two grandchildren, Kenzie and Kylie Simms of Rural Retreat, Virginia. She is also survived by four very good friends, Gracie Blevins of Texas, Marcie Smith, Lucy Ruphard and Barbara Kirkland, all of Marion, Virginia. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Round Hill Cemetery with Reverend Mike Halsey officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
