Obituary of Marjorie Wood

MARION, VIRGINIA: MARJORIE WOOD, age 98, widow of William W. Wood, died Saturday, August 27, 2005 in Smyth County Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John and Lillian Whitehead Fitch and was a member of the Hawthorne Gospel Church in Hawthorne, North Jersey; after she moved to Marion, Virginia, she attended Royal Oak Presbyterian Church and Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by a brother, Jack and a twin sister, Muriel. She is survived by one daughter, Polly Jones and husband, Jeff of Virginia. Two sons, William W. Wood, Jr. and wife, Janet of New Jersey, and David F. Wood and wife, Lorraine of Maine. Eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be held in New Jersey.
