Obituary of Lydia Sheets

MARION, VIRGINIA: LYDIA C. SHEETS, widow of Claude Allen Sheets, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Carrington Place in Wytheville, Virginia. She was born May 8, 1936 in Wythe County, Virginia to the late Rueben and Ollie C. Goodman Parks. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, O'Neil, Guy, Marvin and Jerome Parks. Lydia is survived by two daughters, Delores Stokes and husband, Tony of Wytheville, Virginia, Debbie Osborne and husband, Wayne of Atkins, Virginia; one son, Mitchell Sheets of Atkins, Virginia; four sisters, Clara Mae Smith and Katherine Grubb both of Rural Retreat, Dottie Surber and husband, Ralph of Sugar Grove, Virginia, Chloe Etta Hutton and husband, Bobby of Marion, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Chris, Jason, Tonya, Michael, Tina, Anthony, Shelia and Shannon; nine great-grandchildren, Caleb, Clara, Margo, Canzas, Krisi, Tyler, Summer, Kiara, Emily and Shaun; one great-great-grandchild, Brycen; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Phillip Duvall and Reverend Ralph Surber officiating. Graveside Services will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Comers Creek Cemetery, Troutdale, Virginia.
