Obituary of Ruth Atkins
CERES, VIRGINIA: RUTH PAULEY ATKINS, age 91, died Sunday, August 5, 2012 in Wythe County Community Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bubbie"Atkins; parents, Harmon Wagner and Myrtle Hancock Pauley; one sister, Willie Kitts King and three brothers, Paul, Dow and Will Pauley.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Joe Kegley of Ceres, Virginia; three sons and daughters-in-law, Carson Atkins, Robert and Judy Atkins all of Ceres, Virginia and Bryce and Tammy Atkins of Wytheville, Virignia; two sisters, Ruby Dillow of Bland, Virginia and Alma Cox of Gloucester, Virginia; one brother, Harmon Pauley of Bland, Virginia; the joy of her life, her nine grandchildren and spouses: David and Brandi, Trish and Anthony, Jim and April, Beth, Terri and Brad, Kimberly, Kevin and Beth, Samantha, and Kaela and eight great grandchildren, Dylan, Devon, Emily, Brianna, Abigail, Trevor, William, and Aubree; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Methodist Church, Ceres, Virginia with Reverend Leon O'Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
