Obituary of Kenneth Brooks

MARION, VIRGINIA: KENNETH DALE "POPS" BROOKS age 75, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at his home in Marion, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Elsie Brooks, a son, Kenneth Dale Brooks, Jr., a grandson, Kenneth John Henry Evans and a sister, Hazel Copko. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 53 years, Charlene Alley Brooks of Marion, Virginia; four daughters, Lois Olsen and husband, Don of Lakevilla, Illinois; Terri Stark and husband Gary of River Grove, Illinois; Lisa Evans of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Darlene Jones and husband David of Marion, Virginia; a daughter-in-law LuAnn Brooks of Chicago, Illinois; a sister, Fay Dishon and husband, Garney of Radford, Virginia; two brothers, Donald Brooks and wife Ethel of Glade Hill, Virginia; Wayne Brooks and wife Linda of New Port News, Virginia; eleven grandchildren, Veronica Stark Neideffer and husband Dani, Steven Stark and wife Becky, Danielle Olsen Fruitiger and husband Eric, Samantha Olsen, Jennifer Ranney, Eddie Ranney, Jessica Jones Gotham and husband Bill, Justian Jones, Jonathan Jones, Mariah Evans, Xavier Evans; six great-grandchildren, Madison Gotham, Ella Gotham, Drew Neideffer, Carson Neideffer, Cole Fruitiger and Maddox Dale Gonzalez. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held Friday, August 13, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
