Jimmy lived with me on and off for a few years in the 1990's. I was a friend, a sponsor, a caregiver and hopefully a good example. He loved my dogs and walked them often. Zoe , Willie and Mickey. All are gone now. I have many photos of them together. It was difficult to communicate with Jimmy from a distance, as he seldom had a permanent address. I live in South Carolina now and often received information of his whereabouts from friends in the recovery community. Nothing however in the last few years. I thought of him often and wondered if he might some day knock on my door again. It is very sad to know he never will now. I always tried to focus on the good in him and wished he would "make it". He had a good soul. Life was tough for him and he just could not overcome some very deep hurts that he carried. I hope he is at peace now. I will miss him.

So very sorry for your loss. Jimmy and I had known each other for over 25 years. He had his struggles like a lot of us but he was a good friend. He will be missed.

James was an important part of the Lamb Center community. While he had his struggles with addiction, he was always reaching out to help others. We will miss him dearly. The Lamb Center will have a memorial service for James on Tuesday, August 28th at 10:30 am.

Josephine , so sorry for your loss of your son. Until someone walks in your shoes they don't know what you are going through. My prayers are with you as I know. I lost my oldest less than 2 yrs. ago and it is still hard for me to visit family at funeral homes. Prayers for you and your family.
