I want to apologize for taking so long to write my deepest sympathies. I have not been able to put my feelings into words, I am still not sure that I am able to as Scottie was such a tremendous part of my childhood memories. Eric and I would count down the days until we were on our way to Marion and Scottie really made us smile, laugh and we never ever wanted to leave. I am so sorry that I haven't been down to visit in quite sometime and I am truly sorry that my children are not going to have the same "Marion" memories as I have. I love you all and think of you all the time.

Paddie and family, I am so very sorry to hear about Scotty...I can't imagine how hard things have been for all of you for the past while. Sometimes there just are no words, are there? I know how close you are as a family and that you have so many wonderful memories to share. I REMEMBER- As a child, leaving for Virginia,with my parents for our annual visit. Singing our song in the car "Oh we are Virginia bound". I looked forward for that song each and every year. We had such great times. We would stay for two weeks which was never long enough-so every year I cried when it was time to leave. As a father taking my wife Donna and my two children Samantha and Eric to Virginia singing the same song. We would stay for a week and have great times but that was never long enough so I would cry on the way home. Now I am 66 years of age and you had to leave to go home I am crying once again. I wish we had more time together. You have left me with so many good memories. I love you and miss you. Your light will forever shine in our hearts and souls

Paddie and family, I am so heart-broken and sorry for your loss. It seems like yesterday, and not 10 years ago, that we had such fun singing in the choir at Mt. Carmel. Although its been years (and way too many of them at that), it seems like just yesterday that we were all out on Hodie's front yard, playing softball, playing beanbag, eating, laughing and simply enjoying life and the presence of each other (and the cows) without a care in the world. Indelible in those memories is Big Scotty's smile and the things he would do to make everybody else smile as well. (In my mind and heart, he will forever be the cracker-eating, whistle-blowing champion, even if he cheated to win by slyly spitting out the crackers and fooling the ten-year old judges.) I will keep those memories with me always. To Paddie, Lil Scotty and Aimee (and the rest of our family), I want you to know that I think about you often, especially now in this time of loss. I love you and miss you all, and offer my deepest condolences on Scotty's passing. Although I know he is in a better place now, he will certainly be missed.
