Obituary of Jerome Parks

CHATSWORTH, GEORGIA: JEROME E. PARKS, age 71, Formerly of Sugar Grove, Virginia, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at his home in Chatsworth, Georgia. He was born June 24, 1940 in Wytheville, Virginia to the late Ruben and Ollie Goodman Parks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Edward Parks and James Parks and a grandson, Jeffery Allen Parks. Jerome is survived by his wife, Wanda Parks of Chatsworth, Georgia; two sons, Joseph Parks and wife, Tamberly, and Jeff Parks and Lisa Langley all of Dalton, Georgia; two daughters, Vicky Sheets and husband, James of Wytheville, Virginia and Teresa Pickle of Marion, Virginia; five sisters, Katherine C. Grubb of North Carolina, Clara Mae Smith of Rural Retreat, Virginia, Lydia Sheets of Atkins, Virginia, Chloetta Hutton and husband, Bobby of Marion, Virginia and Dottie Surber of Sugar Grove, Virginia nine grandchildren, Keshia Parks, Jacob Parks, Joey Parks, Ashley Parks, Tequila Parks, Colby Rogers, Skye Parks, Wendy Sheets and James Maulden. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Services will be held, Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Cemetery in Wytheville, Virginia with Reverend Ralph Surber officiating.
