To Dennis and children, grandchildren: Though we were miles apart most of our lives, we were close in our inherited Lewis spirit. The church ladies prayed nonstop some days, but sometimes prayers can only help pave the way. Dreema was courageous in her fight with the cancer, even beat it, but, as she said, her heart failed her. Always gracious, always appreciative, she had a way of making me feel better, when my intent was to help her feel better--a wonderful characteristic of the Lewis family, to always be thinking of others. How blessed we all were to have had her in our lives. Now we have our memories and stories to pass on to the young ones. Blessings to all of you as you grieve, knowing she set a high standard for all of us. Every time I see or speak with my far-away grandchildren, I will think of Dreema's grandchildren; we shared a wish to live long enough to see our grandchildren grow up.
