Obituary of Henry Hart

MARION, VIRGINIA: HENRY C. HART age 77, died Monday October 17, 2011. He was a retired US Army veteran who had been battling cancer for several years. H. C. is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy D. Hart; son, Allen Hart; one sister, Mable Hayden; three brothers-in-law, Jimmie Dungan of Ohio, Alfred (Chuck) Dungan and wife Rosetta of Maryland, A. L. Dungan and wife Betty of Seven Mile Ford; sister-in-law, Reba Matheson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends including special friends Melody and Keith Myers. H. C. was preceded in death by his parents, B. M. and Ada Hart, brothers, Vaughn, Howard and French Hart; sisters Orpha Wilcox, Jean Dye and Mae Gambill. The family would like to thank all of the staff and doctors at the Cancer Center, Dr. Robinette in Abingdon, Smyth County Hospital, Marion Life Saving Crew, Adwolfe Volunteer Fire Department, Home Health Nurses, Hospice of Southwest Virginia, nurses and staff of Valley Health Care Center and Ellis Home Oxygen. God bless them all for being there. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend David St. Clair and Reverend Joe Powers officiating. Burial will follow in the Middle Fork Cemetery with Military Rites being conducted by Francis Marion VFW Post # 4667. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
