Obituary of Betty Hester

MARION, VIRGINIA: BETTY LUCILLE STONE PRUITT HESTER, age 75, died Sunday, August 7, 2011 at her home in Marion, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Luther Pruitt and Thomas Edward Hester; and her parents, Phonso and Viola Woods Stone. Mrs. Hester is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Lynn Arthur of Marion, Virginia; Vivian Dawn Betlejewski; one son, Billy Daniel Pruitt, both of Baltimore, Maryland; one step-daughter, Carolyn Hester Pennington of Marion, Virginia one step-son, Michael Anthony Hester of Newnan, Georgia; two sisters, Joyce Vencill of Baltimore, Maryland and Donna Gullion of Atkins, Virginia; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. A special thank you to her caregivers, Betty Childers, Shirley Chatham, Carolyn Pennington and the Hospice of Southwest Virginia Team. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Kevin Betlejewski, Reverend Susan Morris and Reverend Ron Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
